Old Chisholm was created to honor Texan heritage. The “Old Chisholm Trail” was the main route taken to drive the Texas-raised cattle herds overland up north to Kansas railways. Of course, the Texas longhorn was the hardy breed that comprised the main stock during that time. It has since become a proud symbol of the free, independent and industrious spirit that prevails in the heart of Texans today.
