Title: The Wolf Within
Dimensions: 18 × 12 × 13 in
There is a Cherokee proverb that describes how each person has within us two wolves that are constantly fighting. One wolf is evil- he is envy, anger, sorrow, regret, greed, self-pity, resentment, guilt, inferiority, lies, pride, superiority, and ego, The other wolf is good- He is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
So which wolf will win the fight? According to the proverb, it will be “Which ever one we feed.”
In “The Wolf Within” I married two of my other sculptures “Pack Leader” and “Night watch.” The result is a depiction a triumphant and confident looking wolf that has achieved peace and self-mastery.
